Breakdown cover???

Hi everyone

I am new to biking and i joined this site a couple of weeks ago.

I was wondering whether anyone could offer me some advice on the best breakdown cover to get for my bike. Is there that much difference between RAC, AA etc? What are the overall costs?

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Wil

Welcome

I get breakdown cover chucked in with my insurance.

Can always come in useful! :?

For the record I'm with Carole Nash and have had good experiences with payouts with them.

However other members of the forum are not so happy

yeah im with NCI,
i got breakdown insurance free with my bank - all i say is read the small print, in it mine says im only entitled to be towed 10 miles to a garage :( .
but nci im paying 70 quid for "get me home to my mummy, no matter what happens / my fault or not in anyones veichle"

You get free roadside assistance for the first year, check you suzuki service record booklet, it's in there somewhere. But that doesn't cover accidents.

Agreed that NCI is the best. Be careful with ones you get 'free' with an insurance policy, there are often crappy terms and conditions which means the cover isnt very comprehensive.

I go to Europe from time to time on my bike, and I got UK/European cover with NCI, which is great piece of mind. Ive had to make callouts a few times and they are really quick to turn up, will either fix your bike or take you home/to a bike shop, no matter how far away it is, and my premium didnt go up the following year.
