bye sv

I am now officially a car driver, I thought Id never see the day! I have a girlfriend who hates me riding a bike and she has been doing everything she can to get me to sell it. Stupidly Ive agreed! How do women do it
I cant believe what Ive done but there is no turning back now, unless I want my life to be a living hell.

Ive been riding around all day just for the hell of it, it even ****ed with rain but I didnt care today. I cant explain the feeling but it wasnt good. Its only a big heap of black metal but I never realised how attached I am to the thing, it feels like one of my mates!

So for now my biking days are over! My uncle rode superbikes for 20 odd years, got serious with a woman and BANG, goodbye bike. Ive spoken to him today and he understands my pain.

The car im picking up does 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds but somehow this feels slow. The guy who took me out in it floored it and was like ' :P not bad eh!!!!' but its nothing like a bike.

Im trying to think of plus points, I dont have to drive in the cold with a wind chill factor of -43 C, I can listen to the radio, smoke a fag, eat winegums, I can go out on a friday night and not turn up to the place with crash helmet hair. well thats my list lol

I'll get over it I guess. see you lot around!

I'll bet that you'll be back on two wheels at some time in the future.

Giving up anything for a partner is only ever going to be a source of ongoing resentment.... maybe not now, but it'll always be there. :(

Agreed... You're letting her fears rule your life... You can't live your life for other people.

But, what's done is done... Lets place bets on how long it takes before he's back on a bike again.

If my girlfriend couldn't handle the way I am, and the things I want to do, then we're not matched it just wont work. I know if I was in your situation, and I did back down and sell the bike, I would regret it forever and blame it on her. And that's not fair.
