Replacement Helmet parts

I've had a closer look at my helmet after my off and, as it's a fibre shell rather than plastic and only has scratches (apart from the vent covers) I reckon it's still useable (certainly until I can afford to buy a new one).
I was a bit surprised that the side pods came off and the visor pivots broke, meaning that the visor fell off.
Anyway, I think I'll get a better one next time but this could do as a spare.

So, where can I get spares for a Suomy Gunwind? Online preferably as I can't ride and buses hurt like hell at the moment.

Any help greatly appreciated! :-k

BaggaZee - A few places do them:

http://www.mandp.co.uk
http://designerhelmets.co.uk

Also Ken's Motorcycles on Westgate Rd, Newcastle do them and always seem to have a shelf full of bits and pieces, I'm not sure if they would post them out either, but worth a shot if all else fails.

The visor pivots seem very weak to me, mabe the worst part of a decent lid :?

I don't know about the visor pivots, but I do know that vents are specificaly designed to snap off, to stop them catching on the ground and snapping your neck instead

I would have thought that was a good thing mate??? After all, if you have hit the ground hard enough to rip the vents off, the the lid is a writeoff anyway, so it's no big deal (apart from the £200 to get a new one  )

Cheers PoRk ChOp, I'll check out those links.
The vents are a bit mashed at one corner, not totalled. They're only held on with a bit of sticky foam anyway.
I'm still a bit concerned that both pods came off & both pivots broke meaning that the visor popped straight off though. :-k
If I can afford it I might upgrade before summer I reckon. \:D/

 Too Right, I'd rather shed out £200 for a new helmet than a new Head...

Id bin it.It will cost you for spare parts anyway so you might as well get another lid.Shop around, theres probably some good deals to be had at this time of year.

my advice would be to get a new helmet,

all those saved pennies wont mean much to you when your dead.

Just shelled out £27.99 for a new 'nodule' for my Arai from Hein Gerricke. Pretty sure I've been ripped off. Broke it fitting my Fogcity visor insert (excellent, by the way)!
