SRAD GSX-R, newer shape ZX636.

Do a search for shock, or shock swap, and it should give you some decent results, and the benefits/characteristics of each......

GSXR shock if you're skinny and don't intend to lump a pillion otherwise ZX636 for fatties (presuming in both cases you don't respring).

Depends how uch you want to spend... Take a look at http://www.svraceshop.com/ (this is the second time I've plugged them today, I'm not on commission!), Clayton there does various levels of rebuild to GSXR shocks... Not tried one (I have better  ) but he gets amazing word of mouth on SV Rider...

But if you want cheap, concensus is 636 or ZX10R. SRAD works too but the shocks are getting old, and they weren't long lived to start with- much easier to find a nice 636 shock.

I have a YZF750R Öhlins on my 99 SV.
Got it sheap on German eBay, fitted a new, longer hose for the reservoir and had it serviced with new oil and gas.
Works wonders and the spring rate is good for my 75kgs. (165lbs) :)

I've got a rear shock from a '00 - '03 model GSXR750 available in the For Sale section if anyone is after one. It's only been used for the running in mileage on a race bike before being swapped for an Ohlins unit.
