Rob S (Yella) update

Went to visit Rob today and, true to form, he is doing great. After 5 hours in surgery having a total knee rebuild last Friday, he's up and about, being his usual perky self, and has just been given the all clear to go home :D This is, no doubt, down to Rob's positive attitude to recovery - next time you whinge cos you've stubbed your toe remember what this man's been through and still manages to keep a smile on his face.

I'll leave Rob to fill you in on the gory details himself.....

Count yourself lucky - I trailed all the way over there and took the blighter chocolate only to see him be discharged. My sympathy was wasted!

Glad to hear he came out of it so well and here's wishing for a full and positive recovery.

At least he's minimised his chances of MRSA by getting outta there sharpish! Recovery at home is swifter anyway - familiar surroundings and all that I guess.

Thanks for the visit Debs.

I have had the mother of all knee ops. The consultant has never done one like this before as he said a knee shouldn't be that damaged and still be part of a leg and wanted to know how I even walked on it,......but I was once in the Soho Massive so I am hard innit(or mad).

I may be home but I am housebound for the next 3 months then I have 9 to 12 months of painful physio (minimum) so you can all feel sorry for me if you want.

But I feel more sorry for the guy who wasn't as lucky as me…… I will now walk again as his Achilles tendons are now wrapped around the screws and pins in my knee.

I'm going to bed now. :crutches:

Should have visited me sooner then and show me how much your care like Debs did. But I was out a week or so earlier than expected.

You can still visit if you want and I'll get my sister to make bacon sarnies and you can have first dibs on the bits in the SV parts box.
