I used to leave my Hornet until the temp came out of the blue, not so easy on the SV, sure someone told me a twin takes longer to warm so I usually leave it a couple of miles then let her ripppppppppp.

I have an SK4 model and it takes about 2.5 miles of town riding to warm the bike up (that is to ~85 degrees). By town riding I mean keeping it in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and not going over 5000 rpm. I also usually let it sit at idle for 15-20 seconds before moving off if the engine is cold.
