Blame it on the sunshine + SV for £1 deposit INTEREST FREE

Hi all

I've finally fallen off the fence and ordered a K5 SV650S, it was just so easy, Suzuki are running interest free finance (12, 24 and 36 months) with a £1 deposit at their authorised dealers for any of the 650 range - anyone wants a new bike or wants to introduce a friend to a new bandit, SV or v-strom 650s there has never been a better time :D http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/home.asp and dont forget to consider accessories - these can be added to the finance (up to 1k worth)

I've been trying to find a good excuse to get an SV since I joined this site last year, and I am getting more excited by the day waiting for it to arrive.

I've added a Suzuki alarm and rear hugger and I've got a gold standard chain/padlock/ground anchor, oxford stormex cover, just looking for advice on anything else I should consider? (will probably get a scottoiler)

Any tips on running in? - I've never had a new bike before - I know the dealer will give me loads of advice but if I'm looking at my new bike I definately wont be listening

Bying bike from Marriotts motorcycles Birkenhead http://www.marriottmotorcycles.com/ , will post again when I've got the bike to let u all know what I think of the bike and the dealer.

Don't thrash it is the best advice for running in! Keep the revs below 7,000 until its first service, then go abit further up the range until 1000 miles have been reached :)

Get an exhaust for it - unless you like your bike to sound like a sewing machine!

Also dont under rev it or let it slog in too high a gear.Just ride smoothly and gently using the gearbox.Make sure the service is done on time, and dont fall off

Any discount or do you have to pay list to qualify for the 0%?

First thing I'd do would be add some crash bungs to the list - I think the new design of R&G are supposed to be better than the old ones
