New Exhaust

Hello all.

I am a new user here :? and want to get a new exhaust for my 04sv650s (well my wife wants to get it for me for my birthday) and we have a budget of about £200. I am just trying to find out what would make it sound like a real Vtwin and what some fellow sv riders have gone for.

Thanks loads

Pete

welcome to the site.

I have a wolf can and can't say a bad thing about it. Good price, great customer service and a high quality can.
I know a few others that have Scorpion cans and again are top notch cans. Scorpion are better known and (probably) the bigger company, so may be the better choice.
Shop around and see what you like though.

I don't like the sound of the Scorpion myself, too rough and "scrapey". Remus Revolution would be my slip-on choice, or maybe a Blue Flame Evo in plain ti oval.

Just hope & prey you don't have a 'customer service' issue

I've got a Remus Rev. (see picks in link below ;))

Yes, very true about Blue Flame's customer disservice... But they do make a nice can, assuming it doesn't split in half :) If I could find out how they're plumbed in, I'd look at putting one on the end of my full system, since they look and sound the b******...

Just ordered an ART can from Slickbiker, £150 including shipping (to Norway) and baffle.
Was first thinking of getting a Viper can , but was informed that it wouldn't fit properly on the 05 SV, so I got the ART instead.

Edit: If you get one of those cheaper cans, there's a lot of money left for e.g crash protectors or some luggage too

I acquired a Remus Revolution can pretty new only six weeks old, not on an 04 but on the curvy bike. But from what I have experianced they are a pretty neat can, Oval and polishes up well. Souns brilliant and is road legal with a removable baffle. Havent taken the baffle out but certainly turns heads compared to the standard can!
