HELP!!! BIke not starting!!

had the tank resprayed, got it back this morning, decide to fit it. while its been of ive taken the carbs off, cleaned them, re installed them fine. everything back to where it was.
now, after putting petrol into the tank, the engine rolls over, but it sounds like no petrol is getting into the engine. petrol is going inot the carbs, but not into the engine. any suggestions??/
its a 99 carbed model before you all ask.

take out one of your spark plugs to check that petrol is actually entering the chamber.

Excuse the bluntness but you did reconnect fuel pump didn't you ??

yes, everything is replaced properly, exaclty where it was. i took the hose off the pump and fuell is going through
so it must be going into the carbs, but not out,

have you checked by taking the plug out?

have you correctly set the float heights?

IIRC... it can take quite a lot of cranking before fuel makes its way back through the system, and finally into the cylinder!

indeed it can, but sometimes things can be at fault, have you tried to start the bike on choke with no throttle for about 30 seconds for 2-3 attempts followed by no choke?

Update!!! got one cylinder working, i think it just getting the fuel around the system again. no to keep trying

That will be because the fuel tap is vacuum operated, so needs the engine spinning to pull fuel through. you may need to charge your battery before it starts

It's a stupid question i know but there wasn't any water left was there, one of my mates did that when he cleaned his air filter and it wouldnt start.
