oil leak and white smoke

hi,i changed the oil and filter at the weekend, give the bike a run out and it started belching white smoke out, thinking i,d put to much oil in i drained it again and refilled,i also noticed that oil was coming out near the air filter, checked that and there was oil in the bottom of the air filter, cleaned it all out,ran the bike idling smoke cleared, took it for a run out and the white smoke returned and the bike cut out  ,any answers thanks

white smoke is coolant/water, blue smoke is oil, black/greyish smoke is petrol( too much of it)

a little oil in your air filter housing is normal, pools of the stuff could be the breathers throwing it up if you have overfilled

Check the Coolant level m8... If it down then it sounds like one of the following probs'

 white smoke is coolant getting into the combustion chamber .. (exit's exhaust as Steam)

a) you may have a cylinderhead gasket gone.
b) or hopefully Not, a cracked cylinder liner.

Did this only just happen after you oil change or has it been smoking for some time?

see if you can get a coolant pressure test guage and do a pressure check in the coolant system,

Sound's like the colour might be blue if you've overfilled it and oil is getting drawn through the air box back into the combustion chamber. extra oil burning = more smoke

White smoke is also indicative, and more probably a sign of, water in your fuel.

It could well be worth draining a bit of fuel into a glass to ahve a look.

Water sits on the bottom!
