Clutch interlock problems
Another question for you fine people...
I had problems starting the bike, eventually traced it to the clutch interlock. There's quite a bit of vertical play in the lever at the pivot, and the bike only started if the lever was in and pushed down HARD. I gave up trying to fiddle it, removed the plug and shorted it with a paperclip! What's the likely problem - the lever or the switch? I can't find a replacement switch on Ebay. Is it worth putting a washer or some sort of spacer in the clutch lever pivot to stop the play, or am I begging for it to sieze? |
:D Sound's like the switch, You can short the wires together but You'll have to remember to start the bike in Neutrel or Alway's make sure you start with the clutch in.
hope this helps |
Clicky Here there's one on ebay

Just bypass it... If you remove the switch you'll get a lighter clutch action too, and you're not real likely to start the bike in gear (since the sidestand cutout will still prevent you from doing that while on the stand)
