SV gearing & speeds
I found this excel sheet on VD which shows speeds based on bike gearing and sprocket config.
Gearing Sheet Curently its setup for a 15/44 sprocket config on a SVSK3+, with the best info i could find. |
49mph in 1st gear? I really shouldn't have worried when i broke my gear lever :)
|
44 teeth rear sprocket, sixth gear at 9k revs = 141mph? (Which would probably show at least 150 on the clock) I don't think so.

it is acurate, it is only a theoretical speeds at certian gearings
the default setings were for a pointy faired bike, based on what i could find. |
my pointy's redline is at 11k - how fast is that?
just plugged in the figures - 155 :D |

I dont know as mine stops well short of the redline when in 6th as im restricted. |

great chart, tells me with 16/46 sprockets, the time I accidently downshifted into 1st @ 70mph, I hit 14,000rpm
|
grat link , cheers for that
the tables is bang on. dont forget these are the speeds that can be achieved without and outside intervention, ie friction and wind resistance, just cos the gear box will allow 141 doesnt mean it can be achieved in the real world. i had my bog standard sv dyno'd at a max speed of 138mph at the rev limiter in 6th, so the table is not along way out only aroun 1.5%. on the road 125-130mph is more realistic. |
