Spinning Tacho
 

On a couple of occasions I've noticed that when I turn the ignition on, the tacho needle spins around and the returns to its normal place. The bike will then start and run perfectly fine. It's not causing me a problem just wondering what's causing it? Any ideas?

on r1's this tells you that there is a problem with the bike

That's what I thought, some sort of diagnostic thing. But it's only happened a few times, can't find anything in Haynes :?:

buy a suzuki manual on cd from ebay, the 1 for the new shape is really good
