Horn Fault

hey there

i have a new k5 sv650s, but i have a fault, whenever the engine gets hot the horn stops working. i the motor is left to cool it works again.

i am aking this to the dealer to sort out, but i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there is a simple fix?

thanks

I had the same problem until I moved the horn further away from the rad but the horn is still crap. Anyone know where I can get a new nice load horn?

You can get FIAMM air horns now from Halfords under the Ring brand... I just put a pair of their curly horns on mine, very happy. Might put another pair on just for a laugh :)

Rather than a second pair of airhorns, get a couple of these:

Your not on your own here lots of us on the SV1K are having the same problem. We think its the location just behind the radiator and above the front cylinder heat been the problem. Most have moved them to the inside of the upper fairing. There is a bracket that holds the radiator at the top where they have made a fixing.

I was so tempted to fit one of the Dukes of Hazard ones... But there's not space for them and proper horns on a half-faired bike :( Maybe when I get my lowers...
