Valve clearances - maybe....?

Hi all,

I have an 04 sv650 with 6500 miles. It's developed a ticking when the engine is hot which corresponds to the revs. Any advice as to what this could be..? surely not the valve clearances at this mileage?

Any help appreciated.

Possibly the dreaded sticky/lazy camchain tensioners.

Do a search, there's been plenty said.

Had my clearances checked at 14K and they were fine.
