Link Pipes
Just bought a Scorpion Carbon fibre exhaust for a K5SVs ( got a good deal in the small ads section of the local rag - 60 quid for a road legal brand new can ) But didnt get a link pipe for it - rang Seastar bikes ( local Scorpion dealer ) who told me that Scorpion dont sell link pipes seperately and i would have to buy another can to get the pipe.
Is this true ? ( or just sales banter ) Would appreciate the help as my bargain from yesterday is looking worse today - LOL Cheers ........... |
i recon you could get another link pipe from any other comany.
try scouring breakers yards and stuff - end of the day (apart from it getting dark) most of them have the same diamater link pipe- and as most cans are round and the same sorta size, i recon it would fit. but wait for someone more knowledgable to come along and correct me before you start the cutting (i could be wrong on this one) |
Seastar told me the same thing as well.

Have a wee chat with CCC, they sold me their high level kit seperately. I can't say if it'll fit or not though.

Tis true, Scorpion dont sell link pipes separetely, i asked one of the guys selling them at a british superbikes event. Sounds like they're missing out on some bees knees.
spudnuts. |
they told me the same thing when i swopped my first sv to a cbr and i wanted to fit the race can on the cbr but i got a viper link pipe (£15 i think) in the end same size as scorpion but i am not sure they do one for the k5 but may be worth asking

I have a ccc low level link pipe, see the photo section for the reason why http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=25890, you may wish to confirm the diameter at the can end though!

You could always have a word with Jorge at Renegade, he'd probably knock you one up for about £20 or so...
