Better grips for SV
Are there any gel type grips on the market for the SV?
Looking for something a bit wider than the sv stock one plus a bit softer so not to trasfer vibration to hands. |
If vibes are a problem, you're either holding on too tight or there's something wrong with the bike.

I am getting the carbs done on the weekend.
Not all that bad, not compared to the SLR650 that i rode on my retest. |
I was looking something like the Gel ones listed on the following, got a similar pair on my Mountain Bike They wear a bit quicker but comfy all the same,
look for these Motorcycle Handlebar Progrip Bio-Component Grips http://www.toolparts.co.uk/acatalog/...bar_Grips.html |
I was having a problem with vibes but the way I got round it was to wear a pair of fingerless mountain biking gloves underneath my motorcycling gloves. They have gel in the palm and stop me getting numb fingers. It is a bit tight getting all of them on but once out on the road there is very little difference in feel.
Hope this helps |
Good Idea with the gloves Glynmitch, for a comfy ride I use cycling shorts with gel inserts , lot cheaper than a Gel set
I know this has been asked before but couldnt find the thread , for when you get excessive vibrations through the feet, I find Gel shoe inserts do the trick, Didnt realise how vibey V Twins could be, but learning to cope with it |
Have a look at http://www.progrip.com grips. I have some 725 Evo grips and they're really good looking and comfortable.
www.mandp.com sell them. Cheers Ian |
