Track day companies???

i am planning on doing a trackday at Croft very soon (first week of august) and still need to book it.

As its my first trackday i dont know how to go about booking it, which company to use?
I have leather pants, but a material Jacket (they do zip together) Will this be OK or will i need a leather jacket?

My bike is 33bhp, will i be allowed to ride it de-restricted? or if i dont say out and ride it derestricted will anyone say out???

I have rode the bike at full power a few times before, so the power is no longer a shock?

Cheers

i did one on monday at Brands with Track Time Promotions, I know they do Croft quite frequently. They were fantastic, altho it was my first time and have nothing to compare them against, very proffessional, very helpful

you need a leather jacket, textiles not allowed, sorry.

not sure about the restrictions, i'd take it up with them.

I'd be careful of www.trackdays.co.uk as they are a commercial organisation and don't organise anything themselves. They do list dates track dates by other organisers but only show those where the organisers have agreed to pay them between 10% - 15% commission for bookings.

You would be much better off looking at www.biketrackdays.co.uk which is totally free, both to use and to have the dates listed there. It's also owned and run by me so I can assure you I make no money from it :D

You will need a leather jacket to attend the track day. You should also check with the organiser as whilst there won't be an issue with the power of the bike there may be an problem with the you not having a full license - I'm assuming your bike is restricted because you haven't done the full test yet.

I've done some track days with 100% bikes before,

But I've just done the European Superbike school (at silverstone)

see http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=27391 for the post

I'd book early (more than 4 weeks in advance) if you want to go in the novice group, they're pretty much all booked up for August right now. You can always turn up on spec for an afternoon session, people always crash so you take thier place for about £60.

Thanks for all the help. I am now all booked for the day.

We are off to Mallory, not my first choice, but it was the nearest track available with 4 novice places on the date we wanted.

We are off with Tracktime Promotions on 18 August for £99. We luckily took the last 4 places aswell!!!
I asked about my 33bhp restriction and they said i can still ride :D

Is anyone else going to be there?

Also i got my new tyres today, wow, only done 10 very steady miles, but what a difference, the bike actually turns now!!!
