Front axle bolt

When i got my forks straightened out, the guy told me that the axle was slightly bent as well, just slightly at one end.

Is this possable, what effect would it have?

Yes, entirely possible, though they usually snap, apparently.

Perhaps see if you can get it straightened, or buy a new one.

Maidstone Motoliners are your friend.

If it can be straightened they are the people to do it.

Find them at Mill Hall Business Estate, Aylesford, Kent, ME20 7JN or on 01622 - 790 705.

A new one cant be that expensive??? When you think about time and effort of getting to motoliners etc.

TSM, you finished with my carb balancers yet?

TSM 04-08-05 03:23 PM

Yep, thought it would be too much work to get it straightened, i bought a new one £22. Got it with me, i will get it changed over when i change the front tyre tonight.

TSM 04-08-05 06:51 PM

went to get front tyre changed, to also find out that the barings had also gone becuase of the bent axle bolt + £30 to the ever growing bill.
