(just a quicky) - RnG Crash bungs

JUst to check, I ordered some yesterday at WSB and went for the RnG bungs to go with a Curvey with fairing lowers.....

Can someone just confirm these are the ones that the fairing DOESN'T need cutting for?

Also, easy to fit, take it you take the engine mount bolt out, put the new one all the way through, then just put the bungs on the end?

If they're the new design then no cutting required.

I have heard that the new design ones for the k5 with lowers do not fit as nice as they should and leave the fairing loose a bit

No idea, but Daimo doesn't have a K5.

Nope, i've got a K2 model (last curveys)....

Hmmmm, ah well, i guess i'll just get them, if it needs cutting i'll send them back.

Hoping RnG are ok with things like this. They tried to sell me a tail tidy too.

wait Damien, it'll come in time

I looked at them

they have a cross member bar that goes across the two bolts and then the bungs go onto the centre of the bar- so no cutting required..

there are some pics on this forum somewhere with them on....or indeed you can go to the R and G website they are on there! £80

rumour has it though that this puts them further BACK- AND THEY CAN IMPEDE YOUR KNESS!!!

no cutting required ,,but ill tell you what make sure u have a torque wrench/big bar to get the original bolt out its VERY tight .dont worry about engine falling out (it wont) just take bolt out and then fit bungs /mushrooms,whatever,but make sure the nut on the bungs is torqued to the right setting ,

the r&gs fit the fairing very well & if you find they dont you have fitted them wrong, also when you are taking the eninge bolt out use the new one you get with the R&Gs to push it through a rubber mallet may aid the process

Top tips all, thanks 8)

Does anyone know the torque setting, i have a "tendency" to round things off (Dont ask  :? ) so may get a friend to redo the bolt up.

Otherwise, simple job. Good good :)

Whoo bikes first mods lol

did not think they needed to be torqued does not say that anywhere in the instructions :?
