So if I fit the one I've got will it solve the prob forever??

Any tips on fitting?

I'm off work today sick, I was up all night throwing up a dodgy kebab.

Fitted it.

Not to hard to fit

Looks OK on a red and black SV.

some people like to fit a peice of gauze over the snorkle of their air bix to stop water getting in that way, i had a problem with that once in really really heavy rain and my bike sputtered a bit but then was fine again, dropped about 1000 rpm in top though so was a bit scarey as i wasnt expecting it

Its strange that so many people have this problem when riding in the rain.. i have a k4 and ridden in torrential downpours, through puddles, the lot but never had this cutting out sparkpluggy problem. must be lucky!

same i can ride my k3 thorogh inches of standing water and it has never missed a beat, the exhaust makes a horrible smell when the mud burns off though

If you continue to ride in all weathers without doing something specific to prevent the problem then you will almost certainly have the problem eventually.
I didn't get anything for 15k then it happened. If I grease the cap when I do a service I get no more problems.
I believe Viney had the same, he did quite a lot of miles before having any problems.
