Changing Front Sprocket.

Will I need a breaker bar? Is the nut on chuffin tight? Is the tab washer re-usable or do I get a new one with the drive kit? What size socket?

Thanks.

It is indeed chuffing tight. Not done it myself yet, but it needs to be done up to 145Nm (I assume it's the same for the curvey) so you'll need a breaker bar/torque wrench.

I've heard that a peice of wood to jam the rear wheel is advisable too.

I've done this myself.. and you'll need to burrow a torque wrench. As mine only goes up to 60nm, the bit of wood trick does work or you can put the bike in gear if you've already removed the chain.
I'd get a new tab washer as my front sproket feel off, probably due to me re-using it. But thats what I get for forgeting and rushing the job.

Have you got a breaker bar. Don't want to muller my rat**** (ratchet) spanner trying to undo the nut. Do you reckon Darren will have a torque wrench that goes to 145Nm?

Nope I don't have one, I just used a lot of grunt, not sure if Darren will still have his as remember his garage burnt down.

halfords:
Halfords Pro Torque Wrench 40-200Nm £49.99

Halfords at the moment are doing an Impact Wrench the works via a cig socket/battery for £19.99.
I bought one off them some time ago with a maximum torque of 165Nm for £14. Good addition to a tool collection.

Cheers
