Another Riding Season Cut Short...

Hey guys,

Well, I have to say it. But my riding season basically ends tomorrow. :( Yeah... Why you ask? Well I am moving away on Sunday to Calgary, Alberta. I am going to University of Calgary and taking Computer Science. Quite a large city... almost a million I believe. Considering I grew up in a town with less than 2 thousand people, this will be a change. I move into my dorm room on Monday. The 7th, 8th, and 9th, I will be going to orientation. I begin my classes on the 12th... I am slightly nervous, worried, apprehensive, sad, and many more emotions. I am gonna start packing tomorrow, so hopefully there is time for me to ride... :S Wish me luck! I will return a few weekends before the snow falls to get some last minute riding in! Don't worry, I won't be leaving SV650.org anytime soon! ;) :)

Hey, best of luck. Scary and new is good, even if all it does is make you appreciate where you came from.

Glad to hear your move won't be one from here! :)

If Canadian universities are anything like British ones, you'll have a great time!!!

Good luck.

It's a shame you can't take the SV with you. Great roads over there in Calgary, Banff, Jasper etc. with the added bonus of hills! - not something you have a lot of in Saskatchewan if i remember.

Yeah, none of those roads back home in Saskatchewan. Here on the other hand... ;)

I am all settled in. Parents have left me, I am all alone... :( Miss the bike and the girlfriend already. Gonna be a long few days getting used to this lifestyle, but I should be OK.

I walk around campus and see these bikes parked and I just wanna find the owner and ask if I can take it for alittle spin! Miss you guys... eventhough I haven't really left... ;) But still feels different.

I start my orientation tomorrow morning, I should get some sleep.

Hey, I grew up in Calgary so I REALLY envy you. :D

I'm not sure where abouts the Uni is but if you're near the outskirts just watch out for coyotes... aparently the city's growth has encroached into their territory so they've turned into bin scroungers..
