Euro sticker on plate...
 

I am going down to Spain in two weeks... yipe yipe yeyyy.

Somebody told me that I need a E sticker on the number plate, is that true?

You need either the GB euro symbol or and old style sticker.

You need to display your country of original, incase the local police or something are out and about. And so they can quicky trace it incase of a problem.
You are also ment to take a spare bulb kit, first aid kit and I think a fire extinguisher though this I think is more for car drivers.
And don't forget about your head light alinement.....

Compulsory, and failure to comply could result in an on-the-spot fine.
Euro-plates - number plates that include the GB euro-symbol - have been legal since March 2001 and make display of a conventional sticker unnecessary within the EU.

Documents you should take with you

* A valid full driving licence (not provisional), with paper counterpart if you have a photocard licence
* An International Driving Permit when necessary
* The original vehicle registration document
* Your motor insurance certificate
* Your passport

Just to add...

Most countries aren't too bothered about headlamp deflectors on bikes (black tape is usually fine)
You are not expected to carry a fire extinguisher or warning triangle on a bike
Bulb kit is a requirement for most EU countries (but not the UK :?)

I carry my passport, V5, counterpart DL and insurance certificate in one of those travel wallets., which is in the top of my tank bag. (I also keep 300 Euro's in there just in case I get an on the spot speeding fine).

Make sure you have enough tread on your tyres for the rip - tyres are VERY expensive in some counties.

Most race cans are fine but Switzerland can be finiky. Small plates are OK (until you get back to the UK). I have a Europlate, easiest way to go.

Make sure you carry a bottle of water in your tank bag and take a straw so you can sip it through your lid while at lights etc.
