Tough Nut
Well to be precise Hex 10mm Inbus Bolt.
Bloody thing won't budge, only got a long arm 10 mm allen key that fits it and even with all my weight on the bugger it won't move! Tighter than a scot in a money saving competition ( figure of speech ). Have considered inserting allen key and turning the bike instead 'cos this bolt ain't moving. Brand new K5 so no rust, any ideas? |
which bolt is it?
|
hit it with a hammer or hit the bend on the allen key it should losen it up
ive snaped a allen key b 4 whach out |
Left side of bike, currently trying to fit lowers.
I beleive its the bolt holding the side stand on? Tha annoying thing is so far since I have had my bike my number plate has dropped off, a fairing well nut went missing and the clutch fixings were loose all due to bolts not tightened. BUT the bolt I do want to remove has been tightened by Geoff Capes  |
Annoying that eh mate?
It's not weight that matters, it's the leverage. Get your hands on a bit for your socket set and use that with it's longest handle (preferably a fixed one and not the ratchet itself). Squirt on some WD five minutes before too just for good measure. It SHOULD move with that lot. Good Luck, Garry |

That said it didn't move with hammer either. |

Didn't the dealer do a PDI on the bike? Think I'd look elsewhere when it comes to servicing. Garry |
my number plate fell off on the way home from the dealership as well -not impressed
i would let the garage take the bolt off, as your bikes under warrenty let them break it. |
