Handlebar alternatives....

Apart from Renthal does anyone know any other suppliers of aftermarket handlebars for an sv ?

Two twigs from an old oak tree whittled to fit make an ideal alternative to Renthals.

Why don't you want renthals?

They don't seem to do a straight swap set for the faired bike... going to ring em to check tho...

Want a straight swap as my right hand bar is bent but suzuki was £75 just for that side

The bars are standard 22mm or 7/8ths" bars. Any bars you like will fit (ape hangers anyone?), but making the cables, wiring, brake lines the correct length will always be the challenge, no matter whose you buy.

How about some of these? You could hardly get more alternative:

I don't think commuting/filtering would be too much fun with those.....

Ian,
The bars on the faired bike are "clipons" and not bars. They slide over the top of the forks and sit under the top yoke. Where as bars get clamped onto the top yoke with risers for different heights.

There are a few aftermarket ones but i think they are fairly expencive i seem to remeber BillyC was after a set.

Other bike ones can be persuaded to fit, i think Northwind had a mixed set of clipons from various bikes.

Hope that helps
Dan

Give Mike or Sarah a pm/call, some racers swap them out for racing ones (well people on svrider do at least anyway)
