cleaning the inside of a helmet?
 
i have a shoei helmet but the pading isn't removeable,so whats the best way to go about cleaning the inside? :wink:

Warm soapy water, give it a scrub, rinse and then put on the radiator to dry.

Just make sure you use a little bit of any detergent - too much and it'll stay in the lining and give you a nice rash after you've worn the helmet for a while. Just a few drops in a sink or half bucket of warm water should be enough.

I used soap last time, it really doesn't matter as long as it's a mild detergent.

Be careful, it can be quite painful if you scrub your helmet too hard

That ain't right...

Warm water with fux flakes or 'Simple' (non-purfumed) shower-gel*...

Wet & wash out the inside & leave to dry naurally (i.e. not under or near a source of heat, this can damage the structure of the lid :!:)
