smoothie recipes.
well one of my wedding presents from last year was a smoothie maker and i've just started using it with limited success. every smoothie make looks lush but usually has an after taste of which ever fruit is strongest.
yesterday.. did apple, banana, strawberry... could only taste apple really today. strawberry, banana, yoghurt. .... can only taste banana..ish anyway, later i'm going to try baileys and ice cream :D anyone good some good recipes.. either healthy or alcholic. i can swicth between the two quite easily k |
Everything I made just seemed to be really gloopy. I found out though that most smoothies are based on some kind of strained juice. Most common seems to orange juice, followed by grape and apple.
Orange and raspberry is good (more juice really) and I like ginger and apple zingers. Strawberry and banana is ggod too. |
I've found adding ice and a small amount milk as well as yogurt is a good way to even out the flavour. Also think about adding a spoonful of honey.

yep gloopy seems to the the best way to describe my efforts to date.. my missus is even faining some kind of stomach bug so that she doesnt have to have any more..
will try and ice \ milky kind of one next... and then a cocktail k |
