Unbelievable!

To be fair, we could all stick 'marine rescuer' in the car window. I'd hope that the Council would act reasonably and waive the tickets though.

Interesting comment at the end of the article about disposing of the carcass. Funny how there was such public concern over the whale, and the Government was plainly v v pleased that such a fabulous mammal could exist in clean Thames water. Now it's dead nobody wants to know.

Disgusting really.

Aw come on peeps, how was the traffic warden sposed to know? We could all put some sticker in the window with some excuse that couldn't really be taken seriously. Surely the better thing to do is to go talk to the council and ask them to waive the ticket.

Oh I dunno.. maybe the amount of cars with the 'sticker' on it... the unusual amount of people standing by the river cheering and pointing... taking photos.. the news helicopters overhead, newscasters on the shore... SOMETHING had to have been going on...

:?

I think the fact that they were parked by the river which had lots of boats surrounding a huge whale might have been the give away - not exactly a common occurrence is it?

Besides, what you're asking is we give the traffic warden the benefit of the doubt. Ha. When would they do that for anyone else? Firing squad at dawn I say.
