Aftermarket Exhaust Fitting

I have just fitted a CCC can and it seems to be blowing from where the can slips onto the rest of the system (sorry I dont know the technical name!). I have tightened the bolt but to no avail. Do people tend to use some kind of sealer when replacing end cans?

Cheers
Andy

Yep.

Only need a smear on both bits of the pipe. Don't need lashings of the stuff.

Sorry to be thick but I just smear a bit on the inside of the CCC connection and the outside of the exsisting pipework? Will the heat not melt it?

Andy...Listen to the man! :? I did exactly as scoobs is suggesting when fitting my CCC to my K3 and it sealed a treat and with no burning silicone! :)
