Plug spanner size?

Im puttin together a basic under seat toolkit and I need to buy a box spanner for the spark plugs. Wot size is it? 14mm?....

10 or 12 I think. It's a CR9E or CR8E plug, you might be able to get a spec from the plug makers websites?

10mm - 5/8" across the flats.

When I took my front (IIRC) plug out, the only plug spanner I could get in was the one that came with the bike because its got a flexible bit in the middle.

What ever you get I suggest you make sure it works for you before you're stuck in the back on beyond and need it :(

That spanner is the only decent tool in the whole kit!

Best bet is definately to find an SV tool, makes it so much easier to do the front plug...

Thanks people. Will try a 10mm with something in it to "grab" the plug when its undone.

Quite right about the bendy bit. I'd guess the rad would need to come off altogether without it.

I'd certainly try to find an original plug spanner, it's difficult enough to get the front plug with the right tool for the job, it's a proper pain if you haven't got it.

i had a right mare trying ot get mine out with a combo of several standard sparkplug sockets.
the best one i found was the one that come as a kind of T bar with the plug socket on a flexible universal type unit, if that makes any sense
