seat cowl, k4 question
does anyone have the instructions on how to fit the suzuki oe seat cowl for a k4. i brought my seat cowl fitted it bit it has never fitted right & is proud of the tail end. so i would like a copy of the instructions OR a pic of someone else's seat cowl & how it fits to the bike correctly.
cheers in advance james :) |

Mine sits pretty much flush (pics of bike in photo section), there was a post on here a while back about how someone modified theirs a bit for a better fit, if you try a search it should come up.
I did move mine back slightly by taking the brackets off it & filing the holes oval so they would go further forward thus pulling the cowel backwards. |
I did not really consder it a problem anyway as the gap is even all round the cowl and the height of the cowl is level with the tail. However i may try that Foey as it could do with a lil pushing back towards the tail

Mine is proud too. Joe's explanantion was that it only costs ~£40 from new so what do you expect. Can't say I was happy about it, but it's true I guess. TBH I don't use it much anyway!

I'm sure you've fitted it correctly... but it's just the way it is - some bikes fit well, and some don't. I think it more depends on the cowl rather than the bike - and the height of the bolt mounts inside. |

You know where the hangers are, under the pillion seat, use them for helmets, well the rear fairing is cut down abit there and this shows when the cowl is on. Does this make sence, hard to discribe. |
