Eyeball - yellow curvy SVS - Victoria St

Yellow curvy SVS with hi level cans and fairing lowers, seen on Victoria St at 9:30pm Tuesday night.

Did a deliberate backfire on the way down the road - now I know noone on this board would do an irresponsible thing like that, but...was it you??

I knew I recognised the bike but just couldn't place who it was!!

had a good laugh as you went off down the road with flames coming out the exhaust  but the taxi driver seemed a bit confused by it all!

does a deliberate backfire i.e killswitch off-on work no prob ? i used to do it on an old 2 stroke but im 2 scared to try it on sv cos of any damage to engine and the engine braking(thought hitting the kill switch when moving would put me over the bars,,does it?)

 i know i love it .......

no mate it wont work with the kill switch as the SV has an auto fuel cut off ....you just need to rever the @rse out of it ........norm works with race cans

It will work. It will not work on an FI bike because when you flick the KILL it cuts the injectors, thus no fuel goes through into the engine. But on a carb bike the fuel will still get sucked through into the engine even if the KILL is turned on as its driven by the engine vac.

You dont do it while the clutch is engaged, so it will not make the bike jurk.

Yes it will damage the engine valves.
