What colour is it?

mouldy 09-02-06 07:40 PM

its candy grand blue i think the darker blue of the 2, but it does matter what colour fairing it is as can get resprayed

If you're having htem resprayed, cracks can be plastic welded too... You'd be amazed what can be fixed.

i know but i know some that will respray for cheap but he dont do all the plastic welding so id have to sand down and filler the scratches, and plastic welding is way outta my league

ok ok as i havent had a reply has any got fairing at all any kind of scratchesbig or small just no cracks big or small, as bike is in need of desperate repair :(

A good place to source fairings

looks like your best bet, i havnt got any spares im afriad

northwind 12-02-06 08:22 PM

I've not got any non-cracked ones unfortunately (loads of those though!) but Andy's right, Ebay is a great source. I got a box containing eve bit of plastic from a crashed SV, including a set of lowers, a double bubble screen, and a seat cowl, for £150 last year. A lot of those bits are now patched up and on my bike, and the bits I didn't want I sold on ;)

how bad are the cracks northwind as if they are clean might be better than the 1 i got atm while waiting for em to appear on ebay

northwind 13-02-06 07:25 PM

Eh... No idea tbh, I've not looked at them closely. Quite bad, if memory serives. Lots of scraping as well. Got a set that aren't so bad but they're already welded, they're getting sprayed up for spares on mine.
