Confused, choosing bikes and a general rant

OK, I might sound like I am undecided, I have ranted over an SV 1000, a Ducati S4R and a Z1000, even looking at a 749 Hybrid :?

I have ridden a Z1000 and an SV 1000, I have played about with a GSXR 750 and a 600!

Being a shortares, I cannot manage an Aprillia Mille

Anyway, my mind is about made up with a Z1000, until!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clay Cross have kicked me in the scrotum, I was offered today £2100 for a 2003 curvy with 14k against a 7.4k Kwak although they were trying to sell an x plate SV for £2895 with 16k on the clock.

OK they have to make a living, but even bike riders have to eat.

I have to see some figures from my local man about px on an SV for a 2005 Z1000 with 100 miles on it.

I don't see Clay Cross getting my business as they seem to be getting the best of both worlds.

£6999 - £2100 = a big chunk of money

I can't remember the exact figure, but I believe George Whites are doing the Z1000 for significantly less than that at the moment.

What does a 749 Hybrid look like :? :)

I've just got a letter from George White(bought my 1000 from them).
Apparently , they can do Z1000A6 for £5999 but priviledged customers ie me   can get an extra £500 off.

Probably worth having a look at them.

Cheers
Ben

Yeah, that's where I read it; £5499 for me, too. With 3 years interest free finance on it too, a black one is very, very tempting. I cannot afford it and I cannot afford the insurance. I just have to keep on saying that to myself repeatedly...

I was offered £2700 trade in on my 9 months old K5 SVS, and it looks just like it rolled out the showroom, so your offer was pretty reasonable...

Brother brought a Z1000 just under a year ago from KJM (wigan or somewhere like that) £5.799 canadian import, but fully converted to uk spec.

Cheers Mark.

yeah those are the retails, seen quite a few places doing the thousand for 5999 tho or 5499 for an import... not looked at the 750 prices but seen a few in dealers at around 5k

I keep looking on Autotrader at Z1000s - they are down to £4500 for an early one if you look hard enough.... pending a test ride it will definitely be my next bike... nothing else stirs my soul quite like it!
