Mini moto-ing: potential Pennine Massive Event?

I went for a bit of mini-moto action back in November for my birthday and am due to go again in April for my brothers birthday and thought it might be an idea to put it forward as a potential "Pennine Massive Event"?

I found it thoroughly enjoyable, and the place that I went (Raceway Karting in Batley) outsource their bikes which were apprently 10% bigger than normal mini-moto's so suited the larger rider both height and erm girth wise :D :D

Was £30 each for like a GP format where there's a few rounds and then 3 seperate finals for different abilities of riders, so everyone got the same track time.

Might be better if we aim for summertime though as it was freezing in November!!!

Can definitely recommend that! The mini motos are a great laugh and even funnier with a race format when you see guys getting all competitive! DO IT! :P

They provide helmets, "boiler suit" style over alls, some gloves (which look like gardening gloves but do the trick) and knee pads. Think that's about it, kind of similar to when you do go karting, except you get these knee pad jobbers (similar to below) as an extra.

I'd suggest that you brought a helmet of your own though, I did and was glad as the ones provided have seen quite an amount of use and as you can imagine aren't the cleanest.

One last thing I neglected to mention was that for the GP event the place in Batley required a minimum of 20 people, which could well be the same at other venues.

Any more takers? 5 of us so far.

Could do with a few more, well more like 15 more, if this idea is going to materialise.

What date we thinkin jase mate, may be able to drag a few along. Couple of mates fancied a go so i'm sure they'd be up for a race setup.

I didn't have a date in mind at the moment, but was hoping to make it after the rugby season has ended. I was hoping to get a feel for general interest as we need 20 people minimum.
