Riser bars on the SV650S (curvy)
I'm looking to put riser bars on both my curvy SVS's.
Now from what I foudn out so far the following cable/lines have this much travel: Brake +1" Clutch +3" Trottle +4" Elec +4" So it looks like I will need to get a new clutch cable and new brake line. Anyone out there who can confirm this? Or maybe some pics of where they re-routed there lines? |
Risers
I'm looking to do the same but can't really find any info.
Are you going to use the bar raisers on the SVS yoke? I was going to do the same but I have been informed they could crack. Anyone have any info or have fitted raisers on the SVS yoke? |

Risers
What risers did you use and are they a one hole fixing or two?
Were they easy to fit? Cheers Ian |
Well I bought the whole thing as a 'used' set... I have some pic's somewhere, I think the risers are one hole off a bandit.
Have a look here: Yoke/Riser pic's on my blog |
Anyone got any info?

Have a look at the Sunriser clip ons in the services section of this site, they lift the bars by about 1 and a half inches and come with longer cables as needed, you just need a hacksaw and epoxy resin to fit em
alternatively, have a look at the 2006 Demon Tweaks catalogue as they have some in there as well, but are dearer than the Canadian ones |
There's a really posh design advertised on svrider.com that are adjustable and look good. I'm sure they're "convertibars" or something. Have a look there.
Garry  |
grinch, try a forum search - john (admin john) has got risers on his SV and i think there's some info either on the forum or on the main site.
otherwise, you could try svrider site - there seem to be a number of users of them on the other side of the pond. finally - there's a "how to" guide on the sunrisers website, but i think for a pointy but may give some general info. |
Just buy the non s cables?
