SV650 Specs by Year

Hello,

I'm looking for a SV650S for my lady and we have decided to consider a used one after looking at '06s.

Does anyone have a link to a list of specs for SV650s, by year, say from 2003 through 2006? That is to understand the changes made each year.

Thanks.

You might try looking on the home page (link at top of screen) in the FAQ section.

but as far as I know the bikes from 03 onwards are basically the same engine wise and performance.

03 - silver frame, the word "Suzuki" on the tank.
04 - silver frame Just an "S" on the tank, also a change on the sub frame (looks the same but the seat fitting is different and the toolkit isn't under the seat anymore, suzuki hid it
05 - first of the black frames, also different colour options.
06 - colour options changed again.

that's about it, but there could be more, I've not really noticed.

Cheers Mark.

SV650 Specs by Year

To All,

Thanks for your quick help...That was exactly what we needed.

I'm sure we'll be back soon with more questions like, for example, has anyone ever put SV650 bars and triple clamp on a SV650S?

Later, thanks again.

Isn't the most important difference seeing as how this is for a lady rider, the fact that the later models are lower. Or so I believe. Rather than messing with the linkage and seats they kinked the subframe didn't they?

the newer models are deffinately not lower at the seat...i have one of each sat in the garage and it shocked me how much higher the new sv is, however the curvy looks a bit wider which may equal it a bit.
