Leo Vince Loose Hanger...
I've been reading this website for awhile, and it's a big reason I went out and bought my 2005 SV650S last week. Thanks to everyone for making this website such a huge resource.
I tried to look up this problem but didn't see it. I installed a Leo Vince SBK slipon tonight, and had a hard time with the rear passenger peg hanger that loops over the muffler. It won't tighten up enough to really clamp the muffler. It's as tight as it will go, and I even removed the stock rubber bushings around the mounting hole so I could tighten it further, but it's still loose. I've got about a centimeter between the muffler and the loop on the swingarm side. Anybody think they sent me the wrong part?? |
possibly yes, id get in conact with whoever you bought it off mate. they should be a snug fit, if its not take it/the hanger back and ask for a replacement. Im getting one of these through the post soon, so i might know more, but tonight im off to barcelona for a week, so wont be back here soon!

I figured it out. The problem was I'm an idiot. You're supposed to pinch the clamp together and mount it on one side of the passenger peg. I was putting each side of the clamp mount on each side of the passenger peg. Creating about an inch of space that didn't need to be there. #-o
