Another for the Dark Side

I'm turning to the dark side, just bought an IL4.

It's the carbed single headlight version CBR600F (if anyone got the used bike's of the year 2006 guide from the April issue of BIKE magazine, it's similar to the one on p24 - in the same paint scheme), & it's only done 600 miles!

Got a good trade in for my K2, picking up the bike next Saturday, can't wait!

Had a test ride, the suspension is excellent, much smoother than my SV, power comes in at higher revs obviously (compared to the SV) but I'm looking forward to getting used to it and putting many more miles on it.

Looking at getting a hugger & single seat conversion, other than that I don't think it'll need any mods, there's plenty of power there for me.

600 miles???

What has that averaged per year then?

You realise you can't spank it for another 400 miles as its still being run-in?!?!? This means the previous owner is selling it having never experienced more than 40% of its full power?!

Or do you mean 6000?

I am currently loving riding over bumps without that knocking noise from the front end that the SV does!

Toypop - yup, 600 miles since first registered August 2005...!

Good point on the running in, hadn't thought about that, cheers!

Bought it 2nd hand from a Triumph dealer, the previous owner (55yrs of age) is trading up to a Daytona 675.

 He's hardly ridden the CBR6 & he's bought a 675

Tell him my address so he can post me some £10 notes... He's obviously got too many of 'em

When you get the log book send me his address as I will buy his 675 from him when it has done 600miles

After -quote- inside the square brackets write the name of the person you're quoting, like this ="namegoeshere" .

Or use the button on the right for the post you're quoting.
