would recomend the sony one bought one for the missus and the quality of sound and batterylife are awesome. it don't meet all your criteria though no ogg vorbis and uses prop software |
although its more like £200 the creative zen 20gb is great, uses media player or creative software with no restrictions on how u move record music.
battery lasts for ages problay 15 hours+ but i never timed it menu system is not as good as apples but is functional once u get used to it. looks good to |
I've got an Archos Gmini XS202s which I think is pretty good, cost me £125 from Currys about 2 months ago when they were on special offer. Think they may be about £140 normally.
20Gb (mine's still only 1/4 full after loading it with over 100 albums), sound quality is good, works with Windows Media player & mp3 or WMA files, battery lasts for about 16hrs. GregK2 |
Yeah those Archos things are proper drag and drop earn't they and I read in one review that they actually have decent volume and base.
My Zen Micro had nightmare software so I sold it. It couldn't power a decent set of big speakers either. They are still £125. When I have paid of my bike/insurance I will get one. |

Try http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop/ if you find the one you want give them a shout. They promise to beat any price you get on the web in UK. They did that for me :)

Not sure if they sell iRiver over across the pond but I have one of them and it does quite well by me.

Remember that Ogg vorbis reduces battery life by about 20%. wma is about 30% and don't touch sony's atrac3plus compression, even they are stopping pushing it |
