Brake Pads?
how long do they usally last? mine have done 4000miles but they feel a bit scrapy if u know what i mean they kinda hiss a lil bit but they arnt grabby, when i look at them when still on the bike in the caliper you can still see the groves and they look like they got quite a lot of meat left. should i take them apart just to check or will they be ok?
when i got the hissing sound on my last bike it ment the pads were worn right down but they still look fine at da mo maybe they could just need a clean? cheers, have a gd easter |
Take the pads out and give them a scrub. Also clean your discs. Clean out each and every hole in the disc and clean the surfaces using a brake and disc cleaner.
You should fine a marked improvement. |
Oh and make sure that the pads go back in the same position. Left pads into the left calliper etc...
