I've just ordered..
1no 46 PRCL Ohlins rear shock
and 1 set of Ohlins Fork springs Now that I have to recover from lack of money (£530), and I have come round I have the obligatory quest: What grade oil would you use? 10, 12, or 15? |
10 or 15 depending how heavy you are
|
That's very personal! You haven't even taken me out to dinner yet (Burger King 'll do)
13 and a half with kit on, 6'3", blue eyes........ |
When you ordered it, did they ask for your weight? If not, you'll get the Ohlins with the stock spring, which is 85N or 90N (I forget which) and a bit soft for 13 and a half stone IMO...
|
Yep, they asked and I told. But I hope to be down a few lbs by the time I fit it. Main thoughts are on the front, and the oil I go for......
Thinking the the standard 10 should be okay, but.... |
530 quid
|
Yeah, I know. Tackle tart territory I know, but it's got to be worth it - Hasn't it?
|
i'll leave that to you, let me know. should feel like a new bike.
|
Hopefully, I'm doing my IAM and I just can't quite settle down along country corners - I'm fine in town, on A roads and dual carridgeway. It feels like I'm participating in a game of Buckaroo!!!

Where did you get the shock from, out of curiousity? You're going to love it, by the way, not quite the best mod I ever did but very close. |
