Airbox question. Pictures of the inside! Chewy?
Hello, I have a 650 K5S, I've had chewys PAIR removel kit for some time now, I just have not got round to fitting it! I had a look today inside the air box. Could some one please tell me which of these numbered parts are?
http://server3.uploadit.org/files/ka...sideairbox.JPG What are number 1 & 2? Number 4 has no hole, just some sort of sensor on the outside of the box??? Number 3 puzzels me too, there is a hole, however as you can see from the second picture it is blocked off with a rubber nipple! http://server2.uploadit.org/files/ka...boxnumber3.JPG |
At a guess, If No.3 is easily visible without removing tank. then i'd say it was a sort of sight glass for water/oil contamination in airbox :?

Number 2 leads to the pair valves.
I didn't bother with a block off kit so i just blocked the hose that leads to the pair underneath the airbox and it works ok,no popping at all on decel. |
hi there...no3 is an airbox drain plug
sqeeze the metal clip to realease and take it off clean it out and pop it back on as for the rest of the no.s im affraid i have no idea |
At a guess 1&2 are air temp and pressure sensors for the efi.
