Stansted Airport gets better bike parking
 

Parked the bike at stansted airport over the long weekend and the parking there has got better. They have moved it a couple of hundred meters north (further away from bus station) but made it a bit bigger and put railings in so you can lock up to that. They have still got the daft two bikes deep arrangement which means you can get blocked in but I guess we can't have it all.

Its a bit chaotic getting in there as the car park rebuild is still going on, best take the first car park entrance on the left after you've gone past the ticket machines or you might miss it. Looks like the car drop off area will be right next to the bike park when they are done, having a super busy area like that next to the bikes can't be a bad thing either.

And while I'm on about airports, was at Luton a few weeks back in the car but did some research on the bike parking, its in the short stay area right behind the old ticket payment offices. Don't bother going through the ticket machines, instead go up over the pavement (they'res a wee ramp), under the bus sheter type roof thing that is in front of the old ticket office and across in to the car park. A weird arrangement but thats what the NCP lads told me to do if I take the bike there.
