how difficult is it to buy one bolt?

Ive lost a fixing bolt from the front caliper, so i had to go out and find one. I tried 2 motor factors, one fastener company then went to the Suzuki dealer. They didnt have them in stock so i had to order it! They said it should be here by friday - i hope so cos i want to be out at the weekend. Cost me £1.20 for 1 bolt.

If you know what size you want etc, these people are rather good:

I went to B&Q once, because I needed a bolt for my car.

They had stacks of different sizes and that, I took it to the checkout, and was charged 1p :D

worth checking out if you happen to be passing near.

Banjo bolts are perfect for the job. My curvy has one. Would have got an original but to be honest it looks like it's the proper one and it fixes strongly enough.

Think it's called a banjo bolt anyway, the part that the brake lines fix to on the calipers.

not very if you come to us

Please don't use a banjo bolt to secure the calper to the fork leg - its hollow and therefore does not have the required tensile strength. From memory the caliper mounting bolts are a fine pitch metric thread, any nut and bolt shop (fastening in Yellow Pages) will have them in what ever form you want.

Right, don't wanna take this too far off topic, but...when replacing the sump plug/washer, are they easily attainable from the likes of B&Q or would you be better getting a 'proper one' from a mechanic/dealer?
