Battery flatter than a flat thing because .............

.... I left the parking lights on accidentally for a week :( :( :(

Will a good dose of charging sort it or is it possible I've done some permanent damage to the battery

Cheers

Et Tu Brute?

You have fallen foul of Mr Suzuki's practical joke.A daft system that allows you to leave things switched on just by removal of the key.Yes we've all done it. Charge your battery and see how it goes, but budget for a new one.

You say that, but it does mean that you can leave the bike parked on an unlit road without the keys in, or with the hazard lights on without worrying that some git will nick it.

I always turn it all the way so the parking lights come on and then back one. Have never left them so far!

You'll have to see how it goes, if the battery is in reasonable condition then being flatter than a flat thing on a flat day in Flatville for a week may well be recoverable. But if it wasn't that new/good nick before hand then it may well have finished it off.
