Track day leathers
Okay after a bit of advice here.
I'm booked to do the Lydden track day at the beginning of August and my leathers on't zip together. I have half a zip on the bottom, though nowt on the jacket. When I bought them (Harpers), they said if I pop down to their place in Leigh-on-sea (where they manufacture Wolf leathers) they could run a zip into the jacket. I'm just wondering whether this is going to be good enough for a track day? The last thing I want is to not be allowed on because of sub-standard kit. So, does this setup sound like it will be fine or should I be looking for some alternative? The zip will be about 3/4 of the way round the waist. Thanks Luke |
Best to check with the organisers.
BTW, your local alterations place may be able to do the work for you. |
Should be fine with a 3/4 zip...

I was toying with doing a TrackAttack day at Donnington.
I phoned them this morning to check if two piece was ok (as thats all I have) They said two piece where ok if they zipped "all the way round". All the two piece I have ever seen only zip about 3/4 (4/5 at best) of the way round. I think thats what they mean, rather than just an six inch or so zip at the back. |
most of them are happy with a 3/4 zip but best to phone and check before you do it
