Avoid Speeding Tickets - Website

Ignoring all for and against issues of speeding...

I remember seeing a link for a website that gives advice about fighting speeding tickets.
However I can't find it!
Does anyone remember it?

Thanks !

If you live in North Wales (or are having a blat around my way), check out Arrive Alive. The nice folks there publish their planned mobile unit positions, however, they do state clearly, enforcement areas may change, without notice. Rule of thumb in my neck of the woods, don't do it, is it worth your licence? Mate of mine was followed for 3 miles by a blue & white V70 (idiot that he is, can tell how often he uses his mirrors). Needless to say, his 112mph average got him talking to a judge.

Anyway, whilst we're ignoring all politics that go with the issue, you might also want to check out UK Speed Cameras.

Personally, I check the Arrive Alive site religiously, when I'm running late for work, it's worth those extra few minutes. Just don't tell Mr Plod :-dd

Nope - Leicester area for me...
Was a Police Motorbike of all things parked up alongside the road with a Radar Gun and ran out in the road infront of me so I had to stop.

However... upon further inspection of the ticket - the road name is incorrect so I it may be invalid !

Are you going to tell us how fast you were going when you were nicked?

From my (limited) knowledge/experience, the ticket may well be invalid if the road name is incorrect. however, it may be that they follow-up the ticket with a NIP in writing during the next 14 days. If that has the correct road name/details then you're stuffed anyway. Let's hope not, eh?

Ummm... I believe I wasn't speeding...
I was too busy concentrating on the road ahead for obsticles that may present themselves in my path...
(Or that I'd rather not say in a public forum for legal reasons) :P

As far as I am aware, they don't send NIPs out for Fixed Penelty Fines handed to you on the spot. *crosses fingers* :?

if you have been cautioned at the side of the road in the standard Police way "you are being reported for the consideration of the offence of speeding, you do not have to say anything..." etc.. that is the NIP

they have 6 months from then to bring a case against yourself
