If spraying from a can Satin Black paint to plastic bodywork, does it need laquer afterwards?

I dont want a shine on the paint at all and wander that if laquer is needed it may shine the surface.

My old GPZ500 was satin black from a can and that had no laquer and it was a really good finish. Did the FZX in satin black too for a while and didn't use laquer on that either.

How did it hold up to road crap, marks etc..

It was fine really. I don't think it showed up muck too badly and always cleaned really easily if I rarely felt like washing it  Just give it a few coats and it'll be fine. I think it's easier to look after a satin black paint job than any other and if the raptor goes pink after parking it in the sun for too long I'd paint it satin black without hesitation

What sort of paint? Cellulose paint isn't petrol resistant, so get a splash out the tank and it'll mark pretty much instantly. It's not too tough either. But there's others out there.

Have a wee look at Paints4U's website, I'm sure they do a matt or satin laquer.

Yep seen their website, the satin laquer is abt £8 a 400ml can.

Won't go far that, either.
